Travel and exhibitions added to the active third week at Red Lodge Clay Center. Time is getting short and we are pushing to make work. On Thursday, I went to the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT, with Harris Deller and Linda Lighton. I had 2 residences there and visited a couple times. I have found memories of these times – the people, the landscape and the “fine place to work (Bray).” My good friend Robert Harrison took us around. The Bray had an opening for its residents’ and an auction. I saw many old friends such as Sarah Jeager and Kurt Weiser. UF Alum Chris Pickett is showing and also at the Holter Museum. Bobby Tso, whom I worked with in Jingdezhen is currently a summer resident. A current UF student, Katie Boswell is interning in gallery.
We returned Friday and then UF Alum, Dandee Pattee visited with her students from Casper College. It was great to she her and meet her class.
I was back to Red Lodge on Friday, and facing the last couple days to make work, clean up and pack. The opportunity to work with this amazing group of people at a unique clay center in a spectacular location has been remarkable.
